Through the Shadows

I wish it was a bit more fun Why are we always on the run? Working through the day and night Fight until we see the light Wish you would tell me your plan 'Coz it's no longer according to mine I still strive to be your best fan A little bit more of you to shine It all feels like a never ending mess All remnants of a frustrated case Maybe you're leading me through the maze I feel a little doubtful in the chase. But you're always there hidden from sight Faith is so blind, lemme close my eyes Leading me through shadows and light You're the only truth in my world of lies. Disappointed in myself that I keep on hurting people Don't hunt for food anymore, its now the hunt for success that's for sale You know it this time I wasn't even cheating You saw how I gave my all How many more heart breaks greeting How many more times do you wanna see me fall? I still believe in you and only you Sometimes it's just way too dark Could it not be a bit more easy too? Doe...

18+2

Yes, I know it's all gone wrong Now I'm left with the broken songs; Instead of fighting all day long, Should have tried to make the sweet times more prolong! We are all tired of masking smiles My dreams look hazy hiding away  Just like a three million more miles I still look away, sighing and lying it's 'kay! No longer an immature teen Expectations in my mind are too keen Wish there was no body to lean The fake moments are never really seen. Eighteen and two long years more, All I think 'bout in my dreams and nightmares Makes my head a bit too sore All of these resembling a miserable bunch of uncertain dares. Counting up the ticks on the to-do list I made Wish I could be skilled enough to get paid Even the hopeful words now seem like a shooting spade! And every time I feel like it's way too much said; Then I'm gushed out of the building of this old city Now I miss that awful evaluation or maybe  Just a random pat on the back rather than pity Is it scary tha...

Perfect, Not Perfect

Behind closed doors when the curtain closes, Too many voices screaming through A few rooms extend to that of a million losses All they are obsessed with what was never true; Stumbling back falling in the globe of fake smiles Every bit so damn perfect ,never fails to leave cue, Expectations running ahead a million miles Leaving to deal with a state of Black and Blue! Falling back again ,pretending what we never saw Still making alive through thick and thin Invisible scratches on the pale skin, they like to draw  Hiding away from the world, away in the ripped jean. Perfect ,ever been so damn perfect Now it's scary to be the odd one out; Just like the fortune cookies burned beyond baked Never gets old what the fuss is all 'bout! That distant world of constant criticism All they do is judge at the first sight Breaking up the bars of the good old prison Who ever returned unstained from such a fight?  An unhappy generation with  happy pictures Ashamed of a broken heart h...

Same Salt Chuck

They say we're on the same boat Floating slow but steady, A piece of nail in the heap of straw Doesn't matter what, they tell us to be ready; I say maybe not, just a fine line We're not on the same boat no not anymore; Just a bit different yet stuck in the same salt chuck The same blue with the mighty roar. Few peekaboo from the sturdy submarine Up or down swimming like a whale; Some wave smiling on the double deck Raining or not they have always have a tale. Some roam on the motorways Falling sometimes they seldom fail, Swimming in their grumpy face They love to feel the gale. A lot are on the wooden boats Rowing through the waters night or day, Scrambling till they reach the shore Smiling at the moonlight all along the dark bay. Can't you see the paper boats Wet and shaggy now shakily torn apart Bits and pieces yeah lying all around Look into their eyes, how time heals their heart And then there are those who fight until they die, The s...

End Credits

The screen goes blank as lights go out Flipping anxiously over the last page The credits roll names they never shout Feels like your life story on that stage Minutes go by as the seats go up Ending with peace what feels like the last chapter They made it easy names they wait to scroll up Credits that are lost in the closed jar Names that are content it did so well Recognition never really rang a bell. Credits keep rolling like some weird patterns on screen So many names it seems unending All forgotten once it is seen Like fleeting memories of one who gave you the wing Applauding all in the name of the job They've all got the surname of unsung heroes No place in memories they fail to rob Lost with them their highs and their lows Credits roll up like some fake promises Bound to forget with days passing days.   Appreciation most call it a distant affair Unlike a few who recall the help Yet there are a few tagged with Rare The ones who made you yourself Names...

Miles Apart

Rising up and shining so pristine Disappearing each time it meets my eye The known visual seems unseen Almost blocked by that cursed tie All those familiar words Now lost in the lovely wood Fighting the unknown with the inky swords It no longer depends on the mood Hard to tell what it really means As colors flicker through The grayish cloudy scenes. Lost in the woods now it's too late A fragment of the distant past Maybe an unsolved mystery of fate Incomplete wishes yeah they last Flickering in glimpses all night long Sighs and smiles a pretty collab Feeling alive again in the words of song Now stuck with the collars in the lab Torn apart a painful understatement Hidden away below the basement. Writing down thoughts a waste of time All seems wasted as life gives lime Incomplete stories take a turn Those uncertain goodbyes all earn Incomplete hold ups mixed with guilt As midnight struck fixed with quilt Now that the Pandora's box is open Let...

Apologies

It's been a while and a lot messed up Be it the mighty leopard or a cute pup Apologies that fall too short To compensate the abusive rot Apologies that last no longer than a few day Just to keep the outrage at bay Pins that stick out beneath the sandwich Bloody mouths and posts now left lessons to teach Kindness a word seems too alien dont ya think? Apologies to those who turn their tails pink Only to see our blissful smile Fruits now a deadly trap lying on the aisle Some say it's an unfortunate error Maybe just one in a millions terror Hanging like a pendulum from the dusty ceiling Troubling others never makes you the king Some believe it's a trophy Whether it's the injured ele or the dead bee It's all a shame be it the shiny horn Or just disturbing the not yet newborn Sighs and lies all on the same plate Apologies that are always too late! Be it own species or a different one Apologies to all who have felt the pain It's sad to awak...

Cup of Change

You said it was over But it's not over yet,not over yet You promised that it was over You said you won't discriminate You promised you'll be different Thinking 'bout you lately Know your favorite is the red paint Tears that you chose not to see. Be it blonde, brunette, black or fade Or the catchy strings of red Be it wavy, plain, curled or straight It all makes the same braid Be it the brown, blue, green or hazel Or any other in the color palette Let's just focus on the story the eyes tell And burn all standards of beauty set; Let's hug the warmth of the heart And ditch those who've set bars Of height and weight that hurt The choice is not always his or hers. The grey cloud of greed Shaken up by the bright light of kindness The tiny granules of arrogance Washed up by the tides of curiosity Where nobody's scared out of the fence And can swim in the waves of diversity   Where every war of Colorado Is blown away by the breeze of p...

Forever

It's been three years But feels like a decade, Battling his worst fears His soul is now fade, Only him and his shaded dream Broken from inside, but says he's fine Patience filled to its brim Its hard now even to draw the line; He smiles at the crowd Through his tear stained cheeks All the voices screaming loud All he remembers are the erroneous ticks. Finding himself in all the wrong places Wanna see the golden lights Tying his rugged shoelaces His nightmares full of bloody fights, Wasn't that enough, wasn't that old? He wants it too bad,now it's too late Wasn't it mean, wasn't it cold? Is it all in his mind and not in his fate? Waiting, waiting for a whole new life Tamed steel waiting tonight Cut through the hopeless knife Still smiling even after the venomous bite. Opened his heart, poured it all Wanna have it,wanna touch it too Yet it feels nothing could manage to fall Lost in the storehouse of an old shoe; Out in the open, out in...

Grounded

The lightning strikes a distant affair Chasing the clouds a lovely dare Snow is settling in the dazzling whites The world seems silent even in the fights; Flights are gone ,now gone tonight The birds are lonely ,kissing the light Written on the flattering flags Colors gawk at the change they lag, Frozen in time history is here The pinch of hope survives on fear. Portray her love, till she's broke Needs or wants they always poke Holding on,you're way too tight Crushing her down till she bites They drive all night, all day long Futile efforts to prove her wrong ; It's funny they stand up only to yell The story so hard,so hard to tell, They're so insecure, Hell, she feels too pierced to cure. She smiles upon the hills Spend her love, they cover her in bills She cries even while burning bright Frozen in their hearts, such a plight You're too late, now it's hard to believe She's just waiting for you to leave; In the rains ,in the pain...

THE FATE OF DESTINY

Some say fate clings to the land The land that built you with its own hand Some say it tends to change As you run with time and change Some say its beyond our wish Seems like a target we always miss Some say fate can't be found Even if sent for by Baskervilles hound Some say it's what they hate The labyrinth of fate makes them late. Some say fate can be made And coloured or be truly fade Some say it can be woven like cloth And can fly away like a moth Some say it is the quest of life And is as sharp as that of a knife             Some say it is the battle to fight That can bring them close to the light Some say it defies their will The one that tightens up the bill. Some say fate is where we are led Hard to reach resting on bed Some say it is about duties That may someday affect the fees Some say it is about expectations Be it destiny or trend of fashion Some say it is all about the plans Not the game of Clash of clan...

THE LOST WORLD

A blank page shivering in the cold Out in the darkness hatred is sold Like a torn yellow leaf Finding home on the garbage heap A way lost on the womb's path Raindrops crying on the cheek of earth Dozens of formalities help to hide The address to the unknown guide Transforming like a chameleon Confusion clouding a peon; Waiting hours that no clock has reached Lessons no teacher could teach Anticipation boosts to survive Fearing that sharp edges of life Running quietly in the wild Complaints that were never filed An air of satisfaction too hard to reach All the blossoms have turned peach Gazing at the star studded night Searching for the battle to fight; Expectations forced to hide Teardrops dried up on the bedside Conversations stuck on the lips Happiness fading behind the tips Wishes that wandered off Lingering like an injured cough Broken mirror the mind looks up to Sighing at the unseen work to do Life smiles sarcastically sure Time often fail...

FATHER'S DAY

Cheers to that special man Who set standards so high Of whom I would always be a fan Who cried when he saw me cry An epitome of love and strength Who never failed to be the role model And taught to strive for infinite length Who would always be on time without fail The coolest of all times The one who survived my stupidity The partner of my naughty crimes A live encyclopedia of homeland city Who happens to be the special hero Who knew everything Before whom I would always be a zero All my kingdoms belong to this king The co-author of all my thought The co-founder of my personality For me,a billion battles he fought A hidden mind of diversity He is the one,the most unsung The unnoticed and unpraised of all Who developed a storytelling tongue Someone who could never fall Striving to be the most valuable asset Sometimes like a guide's hand Fighting troubles of any rate Or simply just having my back. A zillion thanks will surely fall short For th...

THE LAND OF MYSTERIES

The land of sand Blows past the grip of the small hand The unknown facts and mystery Engulfing the cloud of history Monuments that date way back Like giant heaps on the memories track The jewelleries of Cleopatra Stand like a crown on Africa. The waters kiss the shore of Nile Pharaohs walk upon protecting the aisle The tombs are the most magnificent Golden seems to be the only paint Standing proudly are the giant pyramids The wonder world of the adult and the kids The rooms designed with diamonds and gold The myth of afterlife never gets old. Generations of precious tombs Stuffed with cloth, food and combs Hidden away from the robber Amidst the Valley of Kings too far The mommy is a way to the curse A tool to frighten the mass Rising from the dead seems no fun How Tut died knows none. One however remains spared For Tutankhamun each one cared The last pharaoh to be left alone Sometimes missing organs sometimes a bone; A name that shines is of Carter Curio...

MOTHER INDIA

Under the monarchy of the cruel Fell all the sections of the society He turned them sick and pale And exhibited his versatility. Mother believed them And gave away her belongings But he smiled a nice witty grin Now who could stop her longings? She gave away her treasures Such an amount it was! Can anyone even measure How costly it was? He played with her fate And plunderes them Their precious life he ate And made her lame. But her sons did wake To protect their mother The life of the cruel to take And to fight altogether. Such was the tale Of achieving freedom That the Indians could tell To the other Kingdom.

FACEBOOK

From the breaking of dawn To the noise of mowing the lawn All is recorded as Facebook post Likes and emojis wanted the most From visiting a nearby cafe Or spending a family day The best selfies always make their way Challenging the followers 'what say?' In this crowd of a billion Some posting their life of a million Some just swiping the screen in awe To get updates of the country and the law Few just sharing the popular memes Most of the unwillingly it seems. Rest just like to sit back and relax Increasing laziness to the max Spending their time scrolling the post No attention to the pendrive lost Or putting up a fake profile picture Covering themselves in a bag of fur Develop addiction to that blue icon The fingers creepily find their way to the phone Spending the precious moments Reading those variety of comments Under the bed covers like a tent No matter how less holidays are spent.  (Click on the pic to know more) Videos popping out of nowhe...
