Yes, I know it's all gone wrong Now I'm left with the broken songs; Instead of fighting all day long, Should have tried to make the sweet times more prolong! We are all tired of masking smiles My dreams look hazy hiding away  Just like a three million more miles I still look away, sighing and lying it's 'kay! No longer an immature teen Expectations in my mind are too keen Wish there was no body to lean The fake moments are never really seen. Eighteen and two long years more, All I think 'bout in my dreams and nightmares Makes my head a bit too sore All of these resembling a miserable bunch of uncertain dares. Counting up the ticks on the to-do list I made Wish I could be skilled enough to get paid Even the hopeful words now seem like a shooting spade! And every time I feel like it's way too much said; Then I'm gushed out of the building of this old city Now I miss that awful evaluation or maybe  Just a random pat on the back rather than pity Is it scary tha...

Perfect, Not Perfect

Behind closed doors when the curtain closes, Too many voices screaming through A few rooms extend to that of a million losses All they are obsessed with what was never true; Stumbling back falling in the globe of fake smiles Every bit so damn perfect ,never fails to leave cue, Expectations running ahead a million miles Leaving to deal with a state of Black and Blue! Falling back again ,pretending what we never saw Still making alive through thick and thin Invisible scratches on the pale skin, they like to draw  Hiding away from the world, away in the ripped jean. Perfect ,ever been so damn perfect Now it's scary to be the odd one out; Just like the fortune cookies burned beyond baked Never gets old what the fuss is all 'bout! That distant world of constant criticism All they do is judge at the first sight Breaking up the bars of the good old prison Who ever returned unstained from such a fight?  An unhappy generation with  happy pictures Ashamed of a broken heart h...

Diary of a Bookworm

Sneaking over Holmes’ shoulder I silently munch into words, And crawl onto the book holder Riding on the Chariot of Gods; Defeating Jules Verne I go round the world safe and sound In mere a week and reach the Baskerville’s hound. The ‘Famous Five’ and ‘Secret Seven’ make the best of my friend Dozing off against Shakespeare I meet my day’s end. But my Tuesdays are no usual as I spend my time with Morrie And have my bit of lunch with Anne in the War’s red glory, Then I board the Train to Pakistan And peep into a Brief History of Time as I learn The secrets of Narnia and its magic; The tales of Oliver Twist makes me pale and sick. The Diary of a Wimpy kid amuses me the most As I spend my leisure on Monte Cristo’s coast. I am a captive on a land Of print on paper in my hand, But do not be bothered, do not fear ‘coz I am a blissful captive here. Also Check out: Miss Ya

Words

How I loathe the way you break, speak and hurt, Capturing my mind all day and throughout the night, Your lawful lies make a scary art Oh my dreaded words, you toughen me to fight. Let me collate you to an unfaithful dagger? Just a bit more acidic and creepy. Sharp tongue aids the cold hearts of the attacker, But resilience brings back the old humanity. How you always crave to meet,Let me list the ways, I see you on the lips and flips of comments Thinking of your pretentious sound fills my days I like how you create those bents and vents. Now I must say we've got a whole lot of history Will never forget you my mean words whilst we're on this journey.

Haunted

Tiny shadows lurking in the hallway Following you like a creep they sway Melting into darkness, the silence So errie, you might even lose sense; Cracking up the wooden stairs Footsteps that you never heard The bravest of the bravest dares Lost when the real spook is shared. Feel someone knocking the door Isn't there a bell to ring? Open it and freeze to your floor To see you're the one to ping; Stumbling back, you break down in tears The bed you left is no more empty Yet not reached the height of fears When you spot you're sleeping,so pretty . Every night, you grab a midnight snack With your buddy, you warned to behave Taken aback as you turn your back Only to watch him drifting to his grave; Finding a shoulder to rest on In the now broken elevator Wait for a second, hold on Weren't you alone in here? You were dreaming, sound asleep Someone tried to choke you up Jolting awake from your night sleep Panting for stale breath, you sat up; Only to see a...

Best Times

Walking down the memories lane Hues of orange and yellow melting my heart Yeah might sound a little insane It's a shame,I thought we're growing apart Thinking 'about your scoldful words Staring at those lovely days Smiling through the paradise of birds Remember how we spent time by the bays? Those cute morning messages No matter whether I replied or not Thinking 'about how you always find ways To make me smile even if we fought Laughing at your silly jokes Miss how your happiness knows no bound Still annoyed at your playful jokes Wish to make it eternal and profound! Love how everytime your face lifts up Everytime something good happens to me Breaks my heart when you cover up When the misfortunate one is none other than me; Wish it was legal to beat up people Who find it amusing to make fun of you Miss those bedtime stories you used to tell So funny,it could make you smile too. Seeing your blissful smile Even on the darkest of nights Helps ...

Forever

It's been three years But feels like a decade, Battling his worst fears His soul is now fade, Only him and his shaded dream Broken from inside, but says he's fine Patience filled to its brim Its hard now even to draw the line; He smiles at the crowd Through his tear stained cheeks All the voices screaming loud All he remembers are the erroneous ticks. Finding himself in all the wrong places Wanna see the golden lights Tying his rugged shoelaces His nightmares full of bloody fights, Wasn't that enough, wasn't that old? He wants it too bad,now it's too late Wasn't it mean, wasn't it cold? Is it all in his mind and not in his fate? Waiting, waiting for a whole new life Tamed steel waiting tonight Cut through the hopeless knife Still smiling even after the venomous bite. Opened his heart, poured it all Wanna have it,wanna touch it too Yet it feels nothing could manage to fall Lost in the storehouse of an old shoe; Out in the open, out in...

FATHER'S DAY

Cheers to that special man Who set standards so high Of whom I would always be a fan Who cried when he saw me cry An epitome of love and strength Who never failed to be the role model And taught to strive for infinite length Who would always be on time without fail The coolest of all times The one who survived my stupidity The partner of my naughty crimes A live encyclopedia of homeland city Who happens to be the special hero Who knew everything Before whom I would always be a zero All my kingdoms belong to this king The co-author of all my thought The co-founder of my personality For me,a billion battles he fought A hidden mind of diversity He is the one,the most unsung The unnoticed and unpraised of all Who developed a storytelling tongue Someone who could never fall Striving to be the most valuable asset Sometimes like a guide's hand Fighting troubles of any rate Or simply just having my back. A zillion thanks will surely fall short For th...

THE LAND OF MYSTERIES

The land of sand Blows past the grip of the small hand The unknown facts and mystery Engulfing the cloud of history Monuments that date way back Like giant heaps on the memories track The jewelleries of Cleopatra Stand like a crown on Africa. The waters kiss the shore of Nile Pharaohs walk upon protecting the aisle The tombs are the most magnificent Golden seems to be the only paint Standing proudly are the giant pyramids The wonder world of the adult and the kids The rooms designed with diamonds and gold The myth of afterlife never gets old. Generations of precious tombs Stuffed with cloth, food and combs Hidden away from the robber Amidst the Valley of Kings too far The mommy is a way to the curse A tool to frighten the mass Rising from the dead seems no fun How Tut died knows none. One however remains spared For Tutankhamun each one cared The last pharaoh to be left alone Sometimes missing organs sometimes a bone; A name that shines is of Carter Curio...

MOTHER INDIA

Under the monarchy of the cruel Fell all the sections of the society He turned them sick and pale And exhibited his versatility. Mother believed them And gave away her belongings But he smiled a nice witty grin Now who could stop her longings? She gave away her treasures Such an amount it was! Can anyone even measure How costly it was? He played with her fate And plunderes them Their precious life he ate And made her lame. But her sons did wake To protect their mother The life of the cruel to take And to fight altogether. Such was the tale Of achieving freedom That the Indians could tell To the other Kingdom.

FACEBOOK

From the breaking of dawn To the noise of mowing the lawn All is recorded as Facebook post Likes and emojis wanted the most From visiting a nearby cafe Or spending a family day The best selfies always make their way Challenging the followers 'what say?' In this crowd of a billion Some posting their life of a million Some just swiping the screen in awe To get updates of the country and the law Few just sharing the popular memes Most of the unwillingly it seems. Rest just like to sit back and relax Increasing laziness to the max Spending their time scrolling the post No attention to the pendrive lost Or putting up a fake profile picture Covering themselves in a bag of fur Develop addiction to that blue icon The fingers creepily find their way to the phone Spending the precious moments Reading those variety of comments Under the bed covers like a tent No matter how less holidays are spent.  (Click on the pic to know more) Videos popping out of nowhe...

MOTHER'S DAY

If I could give you gold Every time you saved me from cold If I could give you silver Each time you cured me from fever If I could present you diamond For the tears you shed for me If I could gift you sapphires For all those instances of helping me If I could give you rubies For the sacrifices and pains you've known If I could give you Pearls For the successful paths you've shown You would be the richest person Of all the twelve seasons Then you would possess a treasure that might reach the skies The worth of which would be a bit less than the perfect measure Of your kind and loving eyes.   But I have no Pearls and diamonds And I'm sure you're well aware What your poor child can give you Is only love, affection and care.
